Snaefells Jokull is a extinct volcano in Iceland and lies westward of Hekla. In the 16th century, Icelandic scholar Arne Saknussemm discovered Snaefells Jokull to be connected to an underground realm. This realm was later explored by Professor Lidenbrock in 1863. Some of this underground realm lies beneath the north of Scotland, and may be connected with Coal City, Roman State and Vril-ya country.
Snaefells Jokull is from Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth (1864).
